Required materials:
Textbook: Probability and Statistical Inference, 7th Edition, by Hogg and Tanis
Calculator: a graphing calculator equivalent to or better than the TI-82.

Getting help: The most effective way to get better is to work on problems under someone's guidance. We provide this through workshops and the instructors' office hours. You are allowed to ask any instructor for help, whether that instructor is teaching your course or not.
